RUÁ After a four-year hiatus, psych-folk arist RUÁ has returned to music with a rebrand to mark her matured, developed sound, focusing on openness and vulnerability as well as engaging storytelling. Teaming up with a band for the first time, live shows take you on a journey through the troves of new material; from intricate guitar lines paired with velvety melodies singing of love, loss, and healing to vivacious trad-folk-gypsy stories of fortune tellers and ghosts.On the night, RUÁ will be joined by bandmate and multi-instrumentalist Conán Mullan on whistle, fiddle and mandolin, bringing Irish / Americana textures. DUOZOUK Duozouk, made up of bouzouki players Nikos Petsakos from Greece and Ireland’s Martin Coyle. The duo has wowed crowds with their musical exploration of the bouzouki’s journey from early 1900’s Greece, across Europe before its entry to these shores. Performing Rebetiko and traditional arrangements from various European countries, the pair will also showcase their own modern compositions on Greek tri-chordo, Irish four course and baglama.
