Vela Satellites is the new musical adventure of singer Claire McDaid and guitarist/songwriter Denis Kelly. Previously with Guernica and Don't Fear The Natives, their music has featured on radio playlists across Ireland, the UK, Europe, US, and beyond.

In past lives they've performed with the likes of Aslan, Bell X1, The Stunning, Imelda May, and their idols Teenage Fanclub.

Releases including the Stupid Heart EP have hit the iTunes' alternative charts, and notable festival appearances include a headline performance at Vantastival's legendary Firestone Stage.

Sometimes blistering alt-rock, occasionally delicate and lingering, at present Vela Satellites are recording a debut release in Derry's Blast Furnace.
